Where There’s a WILL, There’s a Way
….Forward for the people you love and who love you to manage the things you leave behind in a way that doesn’t cause increased stress, sadness, misunderstanding, conflict or cost.
The research tells us that somewhere between 50 and 75% of Canadians have their heads deeply buried in the sand about planning for their death.
According the researchers, apparently it doesn’t get done because we don’t think it is important and urgent. Urgent being something we need to do right away and important being something we absolutely have to do.
There are lots of other reasons – read that to mean excuses that support the head burying avoidance – including:
- I’m not rich, so it doesn’t matter
- I’m young, I don’t need a will
- My family situation is complicated
- It’s not that big a deal, right!
